As valuable as monetary gifts, volunteer efforts are essential to Menucha’s well-being. Whether you join us for a work party, serve in a leadership role, or schedule regular times to work on the grounds, every hour you contribute makes a difference!  We welcome individuals, groups of all sizes, and all skill sets.

The Menucha Rose Award was created by our staff to honor outstanding volunteers. We recognize the importance of volunteers in our organization; they do valuable work and help us “bloom and grow.” We would be a much dimmer place without them.

We are proud to announce that this year’s recipient of the Menucha Rose Award is Susan Hedlund. Susan has been a part of the Menucha family for over 20 years. She has led retreats (mainly for women dealing with cancer) and helped to train facilitators to expand those retreats. She has been a tireless worker for the Friends of Menucha Foundation where she is currently serving as President. Susan is an enthusiastic cheerleader for Menucha and a great friend of our staff. It is always a pleasure having her at Menucha, whether it’s for one of her fabulous retreats or in one of her many other capacities.

Usually we present the award to the recipient at our Friends of Menucha Annual Christmas dessert, but Susan was traveling and unable to join us. Below are some photos from this year’s event.

Please join us in congratulating Susan for her incredible work with us!
