Summary
Menucha offers family style meal service and is known for our beautiful grounds, gracious staff, and especially our food! The Food Service Manager is responsible for planning and managing all aspects of the kitchen to ensure high quality, efficient food services delivered within budget.
Duties
- Coordinate with guest services and program staff to assure appropriate planning for all guest groups and events.
- Plan menus for diverse groups meeting the dietary needs of guests.
- Ensure food supplies are inventoried, ordered, and stored safely.
- Plan and monitor budget for short and long-term kitchen operation.
- Ensure the meals are prepared accurately and on time.
- Ensure that dining room is set-up and ready for each meal.
- Supervision of cooks and other kitchen staff.
- Recruit, hire and train kitchen staff.
Requirements and Skills
- 3 years commercial kitchen experience.
- Equivalent kitchen organization and management experience.
- ServSafe Certificate.
- Able to meet or exceed health department guidelines and codes.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with staff and guests.
- Interpersonal skills to supervise and train staff.
- Able to use a computer.
- Able to use basic math.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Kitchen activities require a high degree of mobility.

Duties
- Ensure guest rooms, meeting rooms, buildings and grounds are clean, safe and welcoming.
- Responsible for cleaning guest rooms, changing and laundering guest linens, and setting up chairs and tables in the meeting spaces.
- Employees will climb stairs, lift and carry up to 50lbs, handle cleaning chemicals and work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
