Do you need help learning how to program your loved one’s AAC device?
Come and learn with Judy LaRiviere, in a beautiful location. Learn how to access things like YouTube, send email, and program buttons to give your loved one a voice.

Attendees will receive training for programming assistive devices for their loved ones who use them. You can choose to stay overnight in Menucha's housing (shared rooms with bunk beds -using only lower bunks), or commute from your home and share meals with attendees while you are here.
The retreat begins shortly before dinner on Friday, and ends on Sunday before lunch. Lodging, meals (Friday dinner through Sunday Breakfast), and training are included in the cost. The cost for commuters includes a site-use fee, lunch and 2 dinners, and training.

Cost to Attend
$350 for Overnight Guests (2 nights lodging, 5 meals, and training)
$275 for Commuters (site use fee, 4 meals, and training)
Helpful hints for registration:
If you are only registering yourself, choose "I am registering myself or a family member" and proceed through the registration and payment.
If registering another family member, click the "add another registrant" button after completing all of your own information.
Instructions for Social workers:
A voucher for only the training portion of the cost for the weekend can be purchased for your client. The cost for the weekend is $350 ($115 for training, $235 for lodging and meals).
In "Amount" enter $115.
In "Recipient Email" enter the email address of your client.
Upon completion of payment, a voucher code will be sent to the email address you entered for your client.
Your client will receive an email which says:
You have been issued a voucher code redeemable on your registration for the Augmentative and Assistive Communication Device (AAC) Programming Retreat at Menucha Retreat & Conference Center, November 1-3, 2024.

In the event the voucher is not used by your client, Menucha will refund. You will receive a receipt that indicates the voucher was purchased. If additional documentation is needed, please contact Lori Nance, (503)695-2243 or Lori@menucha.org
Menucha's cancellation policy is based on time.

There are no refunds once the program has started.
If the event is canceled, the full deposit will be refunded.
*(Updated October 2023) Until December 31, 2023, refunds will be given if you test positive for Covid on the day of arrival and do not attend.
After December 31, 2023 less than 30 days from the start of a program no refunds will be made.
For those concerned with cancellations, you may want to consider the Optional Purchase Protection that is available during registration (but not after). You can read the terms and conditions of the Purchase Protection (which is not administered by Menucha) here.
