January Retreat for Pastors
DATES: Jan 22/23 – Wednesday, January 25, 2012 (flexible arrival on Sunday evening or Monday morning) Please register by January 3, 2012.
GOALS:
- Disconnect with your parish for a while (rest, be gentle with yourself)
- Connect with other pastors (special invitation to pastors new to our presbytery), especially regarding issues of mutual concern such as F.O.G. changes for the PC(USA), small church ministry, etc.
- Be reflective about the season ahead (bible study of lectionary texts for Lent and review of spiritual practices you may wish to share with your congregation)
- Offer optional activities for spouses that pastors may choose to take advantage of as well (visit a winery in Hood River, etc.)
BOTTOM LINE: A retreat that involves purposeful work but still serves as a time of renewal and connection with your colleagues after a busy Christmas.
