Labyrinth
The Rose Garden Labyrinth was completed in 2008.  Located in the midst of our historic formal rose garden, it often leaves the visitor feeling as if it has been there since the beginning.  Completed by all volunteer crews over the course of two years under the foremanship of George Erdenberger (local professional landscape architect on our board) , it is a work of art, including the center piece, which is a pebble mosaic created by art students under the direction of artist/teacher Anna Meyrick of Anna Meyrick Studios.  You are welcome to walk the labyrinth at anytime you are staying with us at Menucha.  To come on special occasions when you are not with a group, please call the office ahead of time and we will prepare a guest badge for you, which you may pick up at the office when you arrive, wear while you are walking, and return to the office when you are done.  There is also some material in the office to help guide your walk if you wish.
Jogging and Walking
For those who may be seriously interested in a work-out, Menucha has some dirt trails that would provide some great mountain running.  Other jogging routes available from 4 miles+, ranging in difficulty from simple to strenuous are accessible in the local area. Maps are available in the office.  For those who prefer a hike through the woods or a leisurely walk, our forest trails are very enjoyable.  Hike through old-growth Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar along our gurgling stream.
Swimming
The outdoor pool was built in 1929, has been rebuilt as needed since then, and is open only during the warm part of the year. It is 30 x 75 feet, has a low diving board, and is located so that it has an outstanding eastward view of the Columbia River Gorge. It is usually opened on or about Memorial Day and closes by early September. The pool area has picnic facilities, dressing rooms and bathrooms. The view brings people to the pool even when they don’t plan to swim.
The Swimming pool is provided as an unguarded pool for the convenience of Menucha guests. The pool is restricted to guests only. Rules are posted at the entrance of the pool.
Swim Times: Normal pool hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Other hours may be arranged through the office.
If your group consists mainly of minors, we highly recommend that you have a life guard present to guard your participants.  All swimming guests take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their children.
Croquet
An increasingly popular activity, there are croquet sets available for set up on our open lawn spaces.  Please check out a set from the office and return when you are done.  If you are particularly keen on this game, please be aware that we have an annual tournament that raises funds for the Friends of Menucha Foundation in which you can participate.  Included in the entrance fee is a picnic lunch, fun for all ages, and an opportunity to listen to (and maybe participate?) in a live blue grass band.
Basketball & Tennis Court
The single court provides an opportunity for tennis or for basketball using the backboards on the sides of the court. Rackets and basketballs are available from the office.  They get heavy use, so if you have your own you are welcome to bring them. Tennis balls are available for a refundable deposit.
Volleyball
With its own concrete court and the net up all year, volleyball is very popular. Check out a ball from the office or bring your own.
Ping Pong
Tables are in Wright Hall and at The Barn, and are for use by groups staying in those buildings. Paddles are supplied; balls may be purchased for a refundable deposit.
Foosball
Table located in Wright Hall basement, for use by groups staying in that building. Balls are available in the office.
Horseshoe Pit
Located near the volleyball court; horseshoes available in the office.
Softball & Baseball
Our mowed, leveled field has no backstop, but has an inset plate. Limited playing equipment is available from the office.
